Mark 12:41-45 (King James Version)

And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.

And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.

And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:

For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.


I am 100% opposed to Prosperity Theology...and am not a Juanita Bynum supporter anymore, but I believe what the Word of God says. When a person GIVES their last to God in faith, He will bless. A person does not know why or the circumstances behind a person's situation, so people need to be prayerful and careful.

Wow, the power of suggestion really works, huh? This is why I don't agree with ATMs being in church. Plus, isn't giving food stamps like that technically illegal?

food stamps multiplying into real money? Are we kidding ourselves? This behavior is what grieves the Holy Spirit. This entire prosperity mess is heresy. The prosperity God gave us is in Him. Use wisdom with your finances that's what God gave you to handle your money and give to those in need is a command for the church. The lady who gave her food stamps I sure hope she didn't really need them that bad because she most likely gave with a mind to manipulate God into getting her out of her situation instead of doing what it takes like going to school, humbling yourself on the job, doing more than asked, being pleasant and friendly and godly behavior. What is a consecration seed? Where is this in scripture? Where does this teaching come from? Is this what Christ died for?
