The online version of a popular board game from many Americans' childhood includes an option for players to choose homosexual marriage and child-rearing as a way of life.

Through the Shockwave.com website, even children can download and play a free trial version of The Game of Life, the first game ever created by Mr. Milton Bradley in 1860.

The player's first option in the online version is to choose a persona based on pictures that clearly depict men and women. Shortly thereafter, the game invites players to choose a spouse, regardless of the potential spouse's sex.

One concerned mother wrote to WorldNetDaily about her experience with downloading the game to play with her daughter.

"You know how kids are," the mother told WorldNetDaily. "My daughter noticed right away (even before I did) and clicked on one of the girls instead of one of the men and then asked, 'Mom, how come I can marry a woman?' And then that led into a lot more questions that, quite frankly, I was not ready to talk to my 6-year-old about."

WorldNetDaily followed the mother's example and played a game as "Jennifer," who chose to marry another woman. The course of the game eventually added four children to WorldNetDaily's lesbian couple.

The mother claims to have posted an objection on the game's review board, only to have it removed by an administrator.

"I went back to the web site and left a very respectful review of the game just stating that this kind of thing should be left out of kids' games, and the Shockwave.com administrator removed my post, stating it was inappropriate," the mother told WorldNetDaily. "I had no idea how insidious they were being with pushing the homosexual agenda."

WorldNetDaily again followed the mother's example, posting the following comment under the screen name "newseditor1":

"Your guidelines ask us to 'keep your language safe for the kids,' yet here's a game where children may choose homosexual marriage and child-rearing," WorldNetDaily wrote. "Many sections of society accept this as normative, but many also would consider this too mature a theme for children. Others would consider this downright offensive. Is it appropriate to include, for example, lesbianism in this game?"

Shortly thereafter, WorldNetDaily's comment was posted, but the word "homosexual" was altered to "****sexual," presumably because the stand-alone prefix "homo" is sometimes used in a derogatory fashion.

WorldNetDaily sought comment from Hasbro, the company that now owns the rights to Milton Bradley games, but received no response.

The original 1860 Milton Bradley game, known as the Checkered Game of Life, was completely redesigned in 1960, bearing almost no resemblance to the original. The new game board included the winding track, spinner and plastic buildings familiar to many.

I think we could use this as an approach to teach our children. I personally wouldn't buy a game like this for my child but if my child was exposed to it and ask me that question I think I could handle it like this. Listen God gives us all choice and sometime we choose to disobey God. This situation is no different. It is the game of life in that regard and shows why the Word of God should be preached and not men and women of God or those claiming to be of God. What the "game" probably won't show is the consequences and the hidden secrets that those who choose to disobey God live with everyday. That's a misrepresentation of life. Guard your kids and give them the word of God.

I'm not surprised either Nood. We as christians have been so involved in our own personal lives that we feel that we don't have the time to address these issues head on or we're simply sitting back waiting on someone else to tackle this. Homosexuals unite, they have unity, and they have an agenda to spread like a cancer over this earth. We as christians most do the same! But we seperate ourselves behind our own denominations when we're supposed to be one body of Christ. The time is now for us to unify, and evangelize. It's time for us to push our agenda... Jesus Christ.

I'm not surprised by this board game. What was a surprise to me was that during this past election in California, Proposition 8 (a measure either for, or against gay marriage) barely passed, not permitting gay marriage here in California. What that told me is that there are potentially 45% of people here in CA who are either gay, or are accepting of the gay marriage/lifestyle. That, to me, is pitiful! So, no, I'm not suprised by this board game. Which I think is pathethic. I have 2 daughters, and I sure hope they don't turn out to be gay!

I really disagree with this situation i just don't think her six yearold daughter should of been on the computer surfing the net looking for games she should have been watching her daughter and blocking those types of untrusted websites

I believe the increase of lifefyles inconsistent with the Word of God is an indication the last days and the lack of evangelism and discipleship in the Church of the living God. If we were more concerned about the souls of men, we would have a greater impact upon our culture. I have been a christian for 33 years and maybe once in my entire life have I been approached about receiving Jesus as Lord of my life. On the other hand I have been approached countless times by Jehovah Witnesses, Mormons and Muslims. They really believe in their message, we as christian by our lack of focus do not.
