Is it me or do pastors like Paul washer and John Piper make it seem like u cant live a good life and still honor God with all you have??

Like i think they preach a gospel of Lordship salvation meaning you have to do works in order to be save which is clearly not true Romans 4:5..and there teaching are just like everything you do is ungodly..like they make it seem like you cant do anything as a believer...like just take this message for example he said to a youth group in TX yrs back...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnV9mXkLI_I

Washer's message was from on high, the Most High. American Christians are in delusion and most aren't truly in the faith, test what Washer teaches by the Word of God not your opinion or what you've been taught in the institutions we call Church. Test it then make a judgment

The believer should produce fruit that proves they are in the faith. Jesus not only savior but Lord. Many of us want the savior but don't want the Lord. We are fine just asking for forgiveness but don't want to obey the Lordship of Jesus. If anyone thinks they can have one without the other they are fooling themselves. I've watched this video by Washer and it lines up with scripture. It's not popular because it is the Word of God. If you want something a bit more appeasing to everyone then try T D Jakes, Creflo Dollar, and the TBN preachers because their gospel is outside the scope of the Bible, in context most of what they say doesn't line up

well thats an obivious thing to say every christian should produce good fruit(If you are a true "Christian" you should know that) as stated in Matthew but you do not needs works to get into heaven which is what Lordship salvation is about is Romans 4:5 not clear??However, to the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness so my point is just because you think you are holier than thou doesnt mean you going get into heaven..The gospel is simple but I hate intecuall people that try to make it so hard Love God hate evil....and the gospel TD Jakes and Creflo preaches does line up with the word people just hate because they have materail things and they think preachers shouldnt be prosper..foolish but thats another topic..God Bless!

An intellect would not try to make the gospel hard but give you the real info, a pl individual who thinks he's more intelligent than God would try to deceive those who rely on him to do the thinking for them. I haven't heard Paul Washer preach a lordship salvation I have heard him preach against that.

Creflo and Jakes take scripture out of context specifically Creflo which is why you believe there is a such thing as a prosperity gospel and support their ministries. I too was but God opened my eyes as I pray He opens yours. IN CONTEXT Christ is our prosperity, our everything. He provides and we obey trusting in His leading, He is a King not a President. I am not close to being a hater nor do I hate them but I do hate they are misleading you and others but according to God it's your itching ears so you have teachers who tell you what you like to hear so when a Paul Washer comes alone you hear truth and reject it. Search the scriptures and see if Paul is preaching accurately or Dollar or Jakes.

Again I once was believing them too so I speak from experience and passion

I listen to all those preachers not just creflo and TD Jakes..Paul Washer is a great speaker just like the other two but it just seems like his messages are telling u sit in a closet read your bible,pray 24hrs a day, have a miserable life, and if you do something fun its a Sin and dont do anything and you are pleasing to God and thats how God knows you love him(Romans 4:5) couldnt be any clearer, ..Now he really has some great messages about totally submiting to christ all the way which I do but like I always said you can be a true believer, love the lord with all your heart, Love what he loves and hate what he hates and still have a fun life..but I just dont see that in his message..And no one is missleading me i have the same bible u do and i read it for myself not creflo or TD Jakes reading it for me..If something dont line up with the word I aint for it i dont care f its TD Jakes, Creflo, my mom, dad,uncle,teammate, coach, whoever, and in this case paul washer..U DO NOT NEED WORKS TO BE SAVE..ROMANS 4:5..God Bless!

I'm am not talking about works and I already stated I have not heard Paul Wassher preach what you are accusing or implying him of doing. I am stating you are blinded by a Prosperity Gospel message that is not in scripture and I welcome you to show me by scripture in context where that is.

I have not made any statement that works will get you salvation so please don't even imply I made such a statement. I clarified my position and if it is still NOT clear I will state it plainly, No man can glory in the presence of God all our works outside of Christ at best are filthy rags to God. I would never ask anyone or lead anyone to present their good works as a means to reach salvation I will however ask you to examine yourself just as scripture asks us to test ourselves to be sure we are in the faith. Doing good works is not a means towards salvation but fruit coming forth from those who are saved. It comes naturally for the new creature and it is not man centered but Christ centered and directed. BIG DIFFERENCE

"I am stating you are blinded by a Prosperity Gospel message"..where was it that I said I follow the prospersity message? did I miss something?? dude I dont follow no man made message that doesnt line up with the word I only follow God message..Live holy, follow his commands, Love God with all your heart, Love thou brother, Dont love the things of this world, dont be proudful, dont be conform to this world, flee from unrightegousness Romans 6 and Romans 12 1-2 all day,...F.Y.I If I want to have nice things and it lines up with the word whats the probelm??

I preach Lordship salvation and Christ did too

That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Luke 9:23 if anyone would follow after me, he must take up his cross, deny himself daily and follow me


These are prerequisites to the faith!!! Following and Cross bearing and submitting to him as Lord is a must. They are add on's the spiritually mature
