Have you as a Christian ever wondered how to reach to a muslim...? Do You ever wonder what to tell them, and how to speak to them, when they ask questions about Christianity, and try to trip you up, by saying, ''how do you know, Jesus is who he says he is, and how can Jesus really be God''?

Dear believers of the faith, of Jesus Christ, I just want to encourage you guys, first of all, by saying, God is love, and he sent Jesus to die on the cross our sins. Jesus paid the price for our sins, and forgave us. First of all, I'd just like to say, that there's no perfect way to reach out to muslims, and islamists, but the only way to reach out to them is by the leading of the Holy Spirit. The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. (Titus 2:11) Our job is not to prove that Jesus is who he really is, but to tell them about salvation, preach the Gospel to them, and let them go. In (Titus 3:9;) The word of God gives us a clear picture of what to avoid when talking to people who desire debating and asking silly questions. ''Avoid foolish questions, and geneologies, and contentions, and strivings, about the law, for they are unprofitable and vain''. As Christians, we have to avoid silly questions, and geneologies. Muslims like to ask Christians, to prove that Jesus is really who he is, and that if our religion is really true. The word of God says avoid silly questions, because they are unprofitable and vain. Debating about Christianity is vain, and gets us know-where. Dear believers, lets avoid debating about religion, and if Jesus is really who he says he is. I've also come to discover that muslims like to not only ask questions, and debate about Christianty to Christians, but they make Christians feel like they don't really know God, and they also say that the bible has flaws. Dear believers, as Christians, it's not our job to prove to muslims that the bible has no flaws, but to look inwardly to the word of God, and to know our God for ourselves, so we can be ready to give an answer to the faith we profess. We should always be ready to give an answer to those that ask us about our faith.(1st Peter 3:15) It's our job to be ready to give an answer the muslims, in meekness and fear. We should give them an answer, only for the hope that is in us. We should also be careful when we're with muslims, and islamists, how we talk to them and listen to them that we don't doubt God, and question his power. We should also be careful that we don't become confused when they talk to us, and be convinced by their religion, and their beliefs. We shouldn't let them spoil us with their tradition and philosophy. (Colossians 1:8) '' Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ''. We as Christians should be careful, not to allow muslims and islamists change our minds about God, but we have got to also understand that they are also searching for answers too. I've heard some of them say bad things about the bible, and about Jesus Christ. I believe they know some things about Jesus, but deny him, as the true Son of God. The bible gives us a clear picture of what that is called, the spirit of the Anti-Christ. (1st John 2:22).People that deny that Jesus is the Christ, are anti-Christ. Muslims spend hours debating and questioning that Jesus is who he says he is, and make Chsristians want to doubt God, but people, we have got to stand up for the truth, and not allow them trip us up. People we have got to stand up in this crooked and messed up world, and shine as lights in the world. (Phillippians 2:15): We have got to be blameless in this world where some people don't even know what to believe anymore, but their false god religion they say is blameless. Our God is true and we have got to stand up for the truth or else people are going to keep worshipping false gods. In our schools, we've got to stand up for God, and tell all the muslims, and peopel in other religions our God is true.

Good topic... How to reach muslims... or simply how to be a witness period... I'm interested in what we think about this...

John 12:32

"And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me."

Matthew 24:14

"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."

"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."--Ghandi

Let me share some infomation that I recently learned about Ghandi, the most notable leader of the Muslim faith:

"Ghandi was hurt by Christians who did not act like Jesus. When he was in South Africa, he considered becoming a Christian, attended a Christian church and was escorted out because he was brown.

A Christian missionary and personal friend of Ghandi was E. Stanley Jones who was also one of his biographers. Jones said that the greatest indictment of the evil of racism was that in his hour of seeking, one of the greatest souls ever born to women was turned away. Ghandi said he had no problem with Christ, it was Christians that put him off."

When we realize that it is the Holy Spirit that convicts the heart and leads them to recognize their need for Christ and not us, we will spend more of our time on representing the heart of Christ in our relationships with all people. Our personal and corporate witness is the greatest teacher as to whether or not being a Christian is real.

There is a reason that Christianity is growing non-stop in other countries: those who are going as missionaries are focused on showing the love of Jesus and witness for Him by loving, helping, and serving....like Christ did. Jesus stated that when He is "lifted up" by our love, our example, and how we treat everyone all men will see Him reflected in us and be drawn to Him. As we demonstrated the love of Christ, that love penetrates any all other world faiths. As Ghandi stated, the challenge in reaching non-Christians--Muslims in particular is that many of us as Christians do not live-up to what we know from scripture: So then, what effect will our witness have? None. Racism and selfishness have permeated our churches to the point that at times our witness is how unconverted we are; that sends a message that we aren't ready for inclusion or diversity (which is another thread altogether).

The true challenge is for us to nurture our personal relationship with Christ and to actually turn away from the sin by allowing the Holy Spirit to move and change our livestyle, habits, and even what we speak or do. In other words, will the REAL Christians JUST LIVE IT!!!

Be Blessed!

One word of advice...be careful not to lump your experience with muslims in your circle of contact in with all muslims. I have muslim friends who do speak highly and respectfully of the bible and of Jesus as the Christ. Just like in our Christian community there are diverse perspectives on things within and outside our faith and community...in other words be mindful of generalizing and how this can become harmful to efforts of sharing the gospel. God Bless!

I went to a frontiers missionary conference, an organization that spefically targets unengaged as well as unreached muslim people groups. Basically its all about living like Christ and preaching the one true gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit We can change nobody's heart. If we think we can convert muslims who for 50years have been trained to hate all other religions or just trained to believe theirs is the true faith your wrong. We must remember that Christ said all who the Father gives Him will come because He draws them. So we must exalt the truth of the gospel, love them and allow God to do the rest.

Since black muslims are always in my presence more so then the muslims that are grocery store owners and quite busy I might add, I witness to black muslims. I work in a hospital and I get black muslim patients all the time. The black muslim women are quiet, but the some of the men, young ones, can be very vocal on their muslim religion. They start off my calling me queen and then they try to convert me, which I'm glad for, because it opens the door for me to share what I know about being a holy woman of the God of my fathers. These young black muslim brothers want a history lesson (you have to know your word, since they say the old testament is more realistic then the new testament and you have to know the Quran and quotes about the positive things Muhammad had said about Christians, you must know history period, the slave trade before Europeans had us as well). And its real that they believe black Christians believe that Jesus is white. Once you get pro-black which is factual and historic, they are willing to listen about their true fore fathers which are Moses and the prophets of the old testament and what they say about Jesus our Lord and what they and all men are suppose to be doing to live holy and free from sin. After this it gets easier. Then I give it to God in prayer.

Hello TL,

Do you believe that African Americans are one of the original hebrew tribes (I thought I read this in another one of your posts). If so, could you explain why? Maybe you could start a new discussion post on this topic.

I believe it and received it from God over a year ago. I thought we were gentiles (like many preachers been telling me), until the Lord spoke to me one day when I was driving home from work. It went something like this, which was a quick thought. "You don't believe that they are the real jews" then a vision of my jewish landlord popped in my head. You know the typical top black hat and pony tails and black attire with a beard. From that point on I've been working on a book that will be ready next year about black people's journey from the land of our father's to America.

There are many scriptures on proof of who we are, starting with the old testament, who many preachers ignore, because they feel this has nothing to do with them.

Jewish Rabbis even say that they are not the Hebrews from the bible and one jewish man, who has passed on, still has a book still out and sold on Amazon called the 13th tribe, you can google that.

The knowledge that I have I can teach a class, but for now you can, if you like, follow my blog. thepenmoves.blogspot.com.

I do teach my friends and family and they can't wait until the book comes out. I'm excited as well, because the Lord has inspired me to do this and I have to. I call it a great calling. An awakening for the black communtiy who are blinded by our Nation's lies of who true Israel is. Paul who is an Israelite even states we are blinded and blinded from sin. (2nd Corinth.chap. 3:13-16 kjv and Romans 11:18-32 kjv) Paul is talking to the gentiles. In the whole book of Hebrews is about us. We are a powerful people and our eyes will be opened.

In closing, besides exposing what Judiasm is really about, I will also expose Islam and their leader, you know who that is, and the Hebrew Israelites movement, they have God's prophets, our black men, our leaders. God came to save all men, but like Jesus ordered his disciples in Matthew chap.10, Go not to the gentiles, only to the lost sheep of Israel. After he died and rose again, then he told them to go out unto all the world. We had a little head start, but now we have more work to do. Pray fervently about this revelation in the Holy Ghost.

Since this is your belief, do you also believe that God is going to restore Israel (African Americans) back to the land of Israel, as the prophets in the in the Bible foretold?

What is the purpose of this belief overall- is it relevent to salvation?

I'm curious because I have some loved ones who share your beliefs and they haven't really been able to explain their beliefs to me coherently.

God will restore Israel (Revel. chap. 21 &22 and in other books of the bible). The purpose for this belief is to open up our eyes to know the truth. I believe the Lord gave me this revelation, because he's trying to draw his people back to him and he wants them to learn the truth by going back to reading and studying the whole bible for themselves. So many Christians think that bible study once a week and a sermon once a week is enough. It's not! (trust me I did the same thing, now I dissect his word)

Many people including myself got saved in 1998 and got filled with the Holy Ghost while manifesting the gifts of the spirit (Speaking in tongues, spirtual discernment, prophecy and so on).

Many saints have passed away and has gone home without knowing about us being the descendents of Abraham. Believing that Jesus is Lord is relevent to salvation. But they like us have exercised holy convocation, communion, (passover, the feast of unleavened bread) Feast of weeks and Jubilee which is all sacred events started by God who has given it to our ancestors and us to become holy unto him.

Also the relevent part of this is to restore Israel with a since of urgency. To wake us up to what we are doing to ourselves in our poor communities, and to fully understand what our fathers the prophets say about being obedient to the God given word. We have the spirit of slumber - Romans 11:8 (Read all of Chap. 11 and pray for understanding)

I notice that we are a spirtual people and have many holy prophets in our circle.

What a revelation this will do to black men and women! More bible study will take place I believe.

I believe this is the reason the Lord wants me to write this book which explains everything. From why Israel is not in Canann and to why we are so hard-headed just like our descendents, to why the gentiles will come to believe who we are. ("And the Gentiles shall see thy righeousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name which the mouth of the Lord shall name. Isaiah 62:2. "Thou shalt no more be termed forsaken 62:4,

I will also talk about why some of Israel is still in Africa. From the countries we were scattered too. Haiti, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico which was like gold to Columbus. How we are so closely related to our neigbors that are in the hood with us.

There's a tribe called the lemba tribe who tested positive along w/other "African American" for being the descendents of Moses.

Your family is on target, but they must study the bible. They must dissect the word, pray fervently, be obedient, seek spiritual gifts and seek the Holy Ghost. If they don't know how to explain it, God will teach them.

Alot of people that talk about this "seemingly new revelation" are so puffed up. Not knowing that they will go to hell as quickly as the next man. All men must be saved.

What about Afro-Europeans? Are they descendants of Israel as well? What about people of the Black diaspora (or by your beliefs, the Hebrew diaspora) that are in other parts of the world that are not named under your twelve tribes?

I hope my questions aren't offending you, but I saw the discussion board about the "Black Man Comforter" (see discussion board, "Is the Comforter a Black Man?). While many people were laughing at it, I found it very disturbing because it was a very large group of people. I visited the site listed in the video posting. This site represents Israelite Church of God in Jesus Christ. The speaker was making claims that he was "The Comforter" (Holy Spirit), and the site listed the 12 tribes just as you described them. Does this site line up with your beliefs?

I have to take issue with these teachings. I do believe that their are some black people who are a part of the true remnant of Israel, but these teachings seem to take that notion way beyond reason. If this religious group is teaching that a black man is the Comforter, this is blasphemy and false teaching. I would hate to convert a muslim from one form of darkness to the other. We have to try the spirit to see whether it is of God or not. I believe that this is a cult, just like the Nation of Islam.
